Armada

A professional Super Smash Bros. Melee player from Sweden. His favorite game is Super Mario 64™. His hobbies include ice hockey and table tennis. He’s the GENESIS 2 singles champion and the GENESIS 4 doubles champion.

Favorite thing about the Super Smash Bros. series:
The ability to move around so freely. Despite playing Super Smash Bros. Melee ever since it came out, nothing has pushed me harder, it has brought me so many good memories over the years.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
My oldest brother ended up borrowing Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64 system from a friend of his. Ever since then, we have all had the (Super Smash Bros.) series as our favorite one.

Favorite Nintendo memory:
From a competitive standpoint, either winning Genesis 2, which was the most important tournament at the time (singles) which also made me the best player in the world, or winning Genesis 4 teams with my younger brother, which put us as number 1 in teams. Our older brother and my girlfriend were there to share the victory with us!

From a non-competitive standpoint, when I was a kid and I really wanted to get Banjo Kazooie. The final present on Christmas Eve that my dad gave out was Banjo Kazooie, wrapped in golden paper, a moment I will never forget.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
I first played Super Smash Bros. Melee at my cousin’s place when I was about 10 years old. Then around 5 years later my brother got me back into it.

Favorite Nintendo memory:
Beating Super Metroid for the first time.

Favorite thing about the Super Smash Bros. series:
The characters.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
Like any other video game. For fun.

Favorite Nintendo memory:
Turning on my Nintendo GameCube for the first time and seeing how gorgeous Luigi's Mansion looked.

Mang0

A professional Super Smash Bros. Melee player from California. His favorite Nintendo game is Mario Kart™ 8: Deluxe. He was the champion at EVO 2014.

Favorite thing about the Super Smash Bros. series:
My favorite thing is the movement and feel of the game. There isn't anything that feels quite as good as the Super Smash Bros. series does.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
I had a Nintendo GameCube and eventually got Super Smash Bros. Melee and was addicted ever since.

Favorite Nintendo memory:
Being surprised by how good Nintendo Switch was.

MkLeo

A professional Super Smash Bros. for Wii U player from Mexico. His favorite Nintendo game is Fire Emblem™. He was the champion at GENESIS 4 and GENESIS 5. He was also the EVO Japan 2018 champion.

Favorite thing about the Super Smash Bros. series:
The characters and play style.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
My brother had the game and I started playing with him when I was like 5 and then I just kept playing.

Abadango

A professional Super Smash Bros. for Wii U player from Japan. His favorite Nintendo franchise is the Xenoblade series. His hobbies include watching anime and reading. He was the runner-up at EVO Japan 2018. He also ranked in the top 5 at EVO 2016 and GENESIS 4.

Favorite thing about the Super Smash Bros. series:
The thrill when you have a high damage % and you're either going to be knocked out or not. Reading each other's moves involving edge hanging. The great excitement of the overseas (outside of Japan) audience.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
I first started playing when I received the game together with the N64 console as a birthday gift. I became a hardcore player after playing online on Super Smash Bros. Brawl and joining the community.

Favorite Nintendo memory:
I recall not being able to complete Donkey Kong 64 because it was too scary. The high school days, being sleepy all the time from playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl online all night and until the morning.

Favorite thing about the Super Smash Bros. series:
You can't find the movement and mobility Super Smash Bros. characters have in any other game! The combo system is also very unique compared to other fighting games.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
My brother rented Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 64 for a day and I spent that entire day glued behind my TV playing.

Favorite Nintendo memory:
Getting 2nd at EVO.

Favorite thing about the Super Smash Bros. series:
I really enjoy the opportunity we have to play with so many iconic and amazing characters, both from Nintendo and outside. The gameplay is extremely fun, and allows both experienced and new players to enjoy the game in almost any way they want to. The games are usually easy to pick up but extremely hard to master. It's just iconic and so much fun.

How did you start playing Super Smash Bros.?
My mom brought Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 64 home one day after school and I started playing it with my sister ever since. I then started attending tournaments for Super Smash Bros. Melee in 2006 and been extremely hooked into the series and the scene since then.

Favorite Nintendo memory:
Winning the Super Smash Bros invitational at E3 2014! Taking that picture with Reggie while holding the trophy is just more than I could have ever asked for!
